Kati & Rob’s Mornington Peninsula Pop-up Tipi Wedding
December 2nd 2017
It was the headlines like “Melbourne’s worst superstorm”, “worst weather event” and “storms, extreme rain and flooding” which sure made the anxiety meter hit red leading up to Kati & Rob’s wedding day. More so because of the nature of the plans – outdoor ceremony and tipi setup on a private property (I mean cmon, it was summer we are expecting hot blazing sun and 40+ degree temps right!?). Not that weekend – CHEERS MELBS!
Spoiler alert – everything was A-OK and these loved up kids got hitched in seriously stunning fashion (these guys have serious style). A last minute move for the ceremony to ‘The old church Red Hill” had us falling head over hills for this little hidden gem that we didn’t know existed (we now go here every chance we get). 100 or so of their nearest and dearest gathered in nice and snug, we watched the rain pelt down behind them through that breath taking window – it.was.perfection.
And then guess what – the rain stopped. There was no flood. No storm. No extreme rain – YES MELBS! We headed out to where the ceremony had planned to be for their portraits before heading to a private property in Balnarring where Pop-up With Style had set up a tipi extravaganza for the evenings celebrations. We were in awe of the creativity and just how stunning it all was! Especially the pizza *insert salivation*.
We hit the jackpot with these guys. We literally had no idea what we were walking into on the day as all our communication had been done via the planner. We were so blown away and couldn’t be happier we were apart of it – superstorm or not!
